My first time as a vendor

Yesterday Kit Katzenschwartz participated in the Handmaid Market as a vendor. I've attended the Market for years and bought lots of great stuff. This was my first time as a vendor. It is a wonderfully well organized event...I heartily recommend it to anyone thinking about selling their wares to apply next time it comes around. The vendors around us were nice and their stuff was great. Their work quickly turned Kit Katz into a non-profit. I got some wicked cute felt monsters and cactii. The visitors to the market were fun to talk to - everyone seemed to be in a great mood - shaken off their election season blues and were kicking up their heels. I saw some awesome outfits. The battery on my camera died so I didn't get many shots :-/

Super Chuck was a rock as always. He built displays from a pair of old cabinet doors that have been in the shed since before we moved into the house. Originally I thought I'd run to Habitat and buy some old shutters to hold up prints and cards. But, the cabinet doors were much better because you could see through the windows which kept it nice and light.

Here's the hall as the vendors as setting up. The Handmaids left us all white tablecloths and cotton tote bags with a bottle of water and some mints :-)

The box for cards that I got at the Smith & Hawking going out of business sale when they were selling off the store fixtures. It's pretty thrilling to be able to use stuff that's been hanging around the house waiting to be useful.

The cab doors getting loaded up with cards and prints - looking awesome.

Our neighbor next door with the awesome felt thingies. I'll take pictures as soon as my batteries are charged up.
